 Big Walleyes

and plenty of them are what every ice fisherman dreams of.  These dreams can, and do become reality on Lake Winnipeg.  The tenth largest freshwater lake in the world has no equal when it comes to producing trophy size Walleyes.  Our guests have consistently caught 10lb plus Walleye all winter long.  You don’t have to be an  experienced angler to catch these fish.  The largest fish was a 14lb brute caught by our guest nine year old Parker.  Along with size you can expect numbers as well with many 100 plus fish days reported.   

 Our Motel offers you the perfect situation to realize your dream.  We are located downtown in Winnipeg Beach Manitoba, across the street from the lake Winnipeg.  Only 15 miles from the mouth of the Red River, and 45 minutes north of Winnipeg.

Most of the fish are caught between the river mouth and an area called Chalet Beach.  Chalet Beach is a ten minute drive from the Motel.  There is a large parking area there for trailers.

Location and our Motel amenities are why our guests choose us.  Every room has a fully equipped kitchen allowing you to prepare your catch of the day.  We provide daily maid service.  In order to ensure a clean fresh room we do not allow fish to be cleaned in the room.  You may clean your fish outside  your room on a table supplied by the Motel.  Each room has an outside electrical outlet for those that use an electric fillet knife. A freezer is available to store your fillets and trophies.

Fishing licenses and frozen minnows are available at the Beach Handi-Mart  204-389-2310   Please call ahead of time at for large orders.  Our next door neighbor Bonnies Café is open early each morning.  They offer generous portions at very reasonable prices.  A great way to start your day.
